predestined to have a free will..?

Random thought of the day. If you are a Calvinist, and you are trying to argue/discuss/persuade a person who believes they have free will that they don't have free will..... isn't that kind of going against the very fabric of what you believe? Because if you, as a Calvinist, believe that everything is predestined by God, then obviously the person you are talking to was predestined to believe that they have a free will. At least from your point of view.

Just something to think about. :)

And as a side note, I'm not a Calvinist. Nor am I trying to start any arguments by this post. Just something that Mom and I were talking about.... and I figured it might make an interesting blog post. :)

  2. Well, not to start an argument either, but yes I do, just like I believe that it is God's plan for each Christian to be wrong about a lot of things and to not have complete understanding about His word. Nor did He mean to give us all knowledge. Some of it we will learn here on earth, the rest we'll learn in heaven. That isn't inconsistent, just the way God has foreordained it. Sanctification is a process for each of us, and grace is God's to give. Again not trying to pick a fight, just trying to explain.
